Join us for an evening of Polish musical brilliance in the magnificent setting of Trinity College Chapel. Pianist Stanis?aw Majewski will present a programme featuring some of the greatest works of Poland’s musical heritage — from the romantic depth of Chopin and Moniuszko to the cinematic majesty of Kilar and the virtuosic brilliance of Paderewski.

Programme:

W. Kilar – Polonez from Pan Tadeusz

F. Chopin – 4 Mazurkas; Étude in E major, Op. 10 No. 3

S. Moniuszko – Prz??niczka and Pie?? wieczorna (arr. for piano solo by S. Majewski)

I. J. Paderewski – Krakowiak fantastyczny; Nocturne in B-flat major

W. Kilar – Waltz from The Promised Land

S. Moniuszko – Mazur from Halka

This event is organised by the Cambridge University Polish Society and supported by the Institute of Polish Language Development (Instytut Rozwoju J?zyka Polskiego) and Stowarzyszenie Aktywny Dialog. Admission is free, and seating will begin at 5:15 PM.
